The Design Process
This is a quick guide to the process leading to the manufacture and building of a Mill Meadow Eco-Home.
We aim to keep the process as quick and simple as possible, working closely with our clients through each stage to ensure they get the home they want. The time from choosing the plot and us handing over the keys can be as little as six months.
STAGE 1: Choosing the desired plot and model of your house.
The process to a Mill Meadow Eco-Home starts with the choosing of the model of house you would like, with the plot you would like it to be built on.
To do this, we will arrange a time that suits you to visit us at Mill Meadow. You will be shown the available plots and given a detailed tour of our show home.
When you've made your decision, a contract will be drawn up for the freehold of your chosen plot.
Plots are offered as bare land, fully serviced with the utilities, ready for you to design your Eco Home to you specific needs (subject to any necessary planning approvals).
STAGE 2: Customising the interior layout of the house to suit you.
With your model of house and plot chosen, we will sit down with you to design and sketch a customised interior that will suit your needs and tastes.
Should you want the design and sketches to be done for you, then with a brief from you, our recommended interior and kitchen designers will be only to pleased to help.
Once approved by you, the sketches will be used to produce the finished 2D and 3D CAD drawings of your home.
STAGE 3: Approval for final plans and customised details and commencements of manufacture.
At this stage you will receive the final 2D and 3D drawings of your home. The drawings will require your signature before manufacture can commence.
We will go through all the personalised detail and materials chosen for your home, making sure you are 100% satisfied.
Once you are satisfied, you will be asked to sign both the plans and your second contract for the manufacture and building of your new Mill Meadow Eco-Home.
